Week 6, Day 6 – Commitment

The choices for today were:

1.                  remember a time when you wanted something, but you didn’t get it. write about that experience. Now write about a time when you wanted something and you got it. what was the difference.

2.                  going back to exercise one, how can you bring what you didn’t get back into your life, perhaps in an altered form?

3.                  on a piece of lovely paper, write the commitment you have to yourself. white how much it means to you. write what you are willing to do. share with one loyal person when you are ready.

Dear Sharon,

I want you to know how much I love you and how proud I am of you. I know it has not always been easy, but you have never given up on yourself and that takes courage and commitment. I remember you suggesting to a few of your friends that before they began dating anyone else, they should date themselves and fall in love with themselves. While I know you are already with Zoe and that she is your soulmate. I wanted to take this time to read my vows to you because lovers and friends can come in and out of our lives, but I will always be here for you. so I want you to know my love for you is eternal. I have been with you from the moment you were struggling for your first breath and I will be with you on the day you take your last one. I have been and will always be there for you in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, in good times and in bad.

I know that you have a clearer vision of what your mission in life is now, probably clearer then it has even been and I am so proud of you. I am here to help you stay focused.  I promise to be that still small voice in the back of your head that prompts you when you are about to feed that part of your personality that is not of love. I promise to be that spirit that tells you to breathe love in and out. I promise to be that reminder that says to you like you say to others, make it a commercial. I promise to be that teacher that asks you to think about what is your intent.  I promise to be the one that keeps you on a steady diet of love and not of fear. I promise these things to you because I love you.  I always have and I always will.

Thank you for having the courage to be you. thank you for taking the time to listen to that still small voice inside you that told you it was time to release, cleanse and prepare.  I love.  Sharon
