Have you ever been working online and have a problem loading or page? Have you ever been on a call within others on Skype or Zoom and been told your internet connection is unstable? Most of us have experienced some sort of “connection” related problem when it comes to us being able to work (or play) efficiently on our computer.
What if we thought about our connection to the Divine as us being connected to the Cosmic Computer? How would you describe your connection to the Divine? Would you say you are still on dialup or are you hardwired? Do you power down at night or do you stay connected? How much of you is connected to the Cosmic Computer? Is it just your spirit? Mind? Body? Or is every cell of your being connected?
So often, we think of ourselves as individuals with our own thoughts and patterns. However, what if instead of thinking about us as being an individual computer linked to the Cosmic Computer, we saw ourselves as part of a collection of computers that were networked to the Cosmic Computer and to each other. We are each our own network. As Deepak Chopra explained, “Every cell is a miniature terminal connected to the cosmic computer.”[1]
How we process information (emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically) instills and infuses every cell of our being? The greater the awareness of our beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and responses, the more we are able to monitor the information (data) that is shared with the cells of our being. When we process information in a way that corrupts it, then we not only harm ourselves, but we also damage our connection to the Cosmic Computer.
There is a Sufi teaching that says, “The universe is a big man and the man a little universe.”[2] In other words, every cell in our being is connected to every other cell in our being, which is connected to all the other beings. We are a universe in ourselves, but our universes are also connected and interacting with all the other universes in the Cosmos.
When we recognize that we are A universe, then we begin to see that we are meant to operate as a uni verse, not a collection of verses, which compete with each other. We are a uni-verse which collaborates and cooperates with each other to create a unified song, a uni-verse which celebrates all of who we are and all of whom we were created to be.
When we facilitate every cell in our body being harmoniously connected to the other, then we may realize that our spiritual connection to the Cosmic Computer has been upgraded and that the Cosmic Computer has download virus protection and malware into our uni-verse. May we each celebrate our connection to the Cosmic Computer regardless of the speed and give thanks for the corrupt data, which is being removed, from our lives.
